To All BUTL Buyers (CIMB Loan Account Holder only),
There has been an opportunity offered by CIMB regarding the Settlement of properties of Dataran Mantin.
BUTL Buyers has the options to either surrender their properties or pay the balance of the loan for the ownership of the properties.
The Banker has agreed to waive Interest and Legal fees but only Principle required to be paid by BUTL Buyers as part of the settlement.

If you decided to surrender your property to the bank (CIMB in this case), it means you agreed to the sale of the property. The proceeds of the sale will be applied to your loan account to pay off in whole or in part of the balance outstanding. Any surplus funds will be used to reduce the outstanding loan balance. You will no longer have the ownership of the property.

Hi Jeff,
Provided the property is still under your name and the bank hasn't take any action on your account, you may try to talk to the banker for the interest free settlement. This is one of the offer given by CIMB and it's vary depending on individual financial condition.
If you need help in the process of dealing with banker, please contact us by phone. We can try helping you get a better deal. However, the final decision is still on yours.
